my 1995 50 hp 4 stroke outboard lower unit got slammed into some trees a few days ago and now is getting warm on the upper part of the lower unit and looks like there might be a slight wobble to the shaft with the prop on and off. I think the shafts bent and I can replace it I just dont know if the bearings are blown out too or if it will be just the shaft and seals that need to be replaced. Also, how will I know if the upper shaft is messed up since it is getting hot up there the fluid in the lower unit didnt have any metal well bearly any and I guess I just want to know what to look for after the bent shaft that needs fixing
