i recently bought a 1970 river queen 38' houseboat. had ford interceptor motors in it no clue what sice but they have deff been long blocked..also has eaton outdrives. the shells are pretty much scrapp as the scaggs are broken off on both, however it does shift and prop spindal turns..i know nothing about things of this vintage and have decided on leaving the motors out and putting outboatds on. id like to sell them but have no clue what their value is and im hoping someone can help me out with that..marysville marine told me about a grand a piece for gears in the outdrives since they easily turn and assuming no gears are broken but i plan on tearing it down to make sure. as for the motors as far as i can tell im only missing one starter, one motor fired but the carb needs to be rebuilt as a had gas leak into the oil pan and a fire out the crank case breather...he said to the right person despite their shape they would be worth a fair amount more than the out drives but id like a second opinion from someone who knows a little more..any advice will be appreciated. thanks
