3.0 merc dies after 15 minutes

My 2005 3.0 mercrusier dies after 15 minutes of operation and will restart after it cools, anyone got any ideas?
The fuel tank was drained and cleaned by a dealer, fuel pump is new, electronic choke is new,
filters all new, kill switch is new, carb rebuilt by dealer. I think it may be electrical, but the distributor
looks fine-no corrosion under the cap, maybe the coil overheating???
 
is this an issue that started suddenly one day? or did it get gradually worse?

next time it happens, pull a plug wire and check for spark
then, pull the flame arrester and look down the carb throat to see if fuel is going in

check the vent (breather) on the fuel tank... mud wasps like to clog it
