Rebuilt motor has good compression & spark, starts on 1st or second pull, revs up and sounds good in idle. When under load on boat however, surges and occasionally dies at higher and wide open throttle. Did diaphragm check suggested and did not see any fuel leaking from the back of the fuel pump. Could the fuel pump still be bad? Carbs rebuilt short time ago, but engine sat without running for several weeks?? any ideas...help please.
