I had a pinched wiring harness on the boat side and the harness was shorting out. I purchased a new Yamaha 16 foot 10 pin harness. The boat side of the of the harness plugs right into the new Yamaha igition no problem. The harness also has a 6 wire female connector that splits at the ignition. Im trying to find out what those wires go to and how do I get the 6 pin male pig tail.
 
All those colors will match up with your instruments and binnacle control. The pigtail you mention will be used to connect the instruments. Should be available where you purchased the harness.
