At higher speeds the engine will suddenly give one audible tone and shut down. You can then crank the engine but it will not fire. After a couple cranking cycles another audible tone sometimes not while cranking and the engine fires. Could this be a high speed temp issue? I have a strong telltale working. Could fouling in or around the inlet screens from algae be something to look for? A bypass valve stuck shut? If so what is the remedy for that? I did not have much time last weekend to trouble shoot this. Just looking for some info or guidance to get me in the hunt for a fix.
