Just wondering what size prop to use for above motor. Currently have a 13.5 x 15 pitch and do NOT seem to be getting the wot performance I expected.
I just bought a tiny tach to see where my rpm range is. Putting on tomorrow. I believe my wot rpm should be between 4500 - 5500 rpm. Not sure on idle rpm...mayber around 1100 rpm? One of the problems I see with current above prop is that I have less than 1/4" of space between end of blade and dolphin fin on the anti-cav. plate. I don't believe that's too good. I was wondering if I could go to a a smaller diameter and would it work on the 13 spline, along with a 11 or 12 pitch. Which prop would you recomend? (p.s. On a 16.5 foot alum. smokercraft -use in river -is that enough hp??) Many thanks.
