I am a newbie, little to no knowledge of boat motors. 
I have serial # 4576938 Mercury 500 w/Thunderbolt Ignition. Does the 500 mean it is a 50 hp?
Only other #s on it is 1440-6624
Need to know what year so I can get a manual for it, also the fuel mixture is it 50/1 mixture (1pt of 50/1 oil to 6 gal of gas) ?
Any info would be awesome
