This evening I hit a submerged log at idle speed. There is no evident damage, but the motor immediately lost about 60% of it's power. Also, the tach and speedometer gauges went blank. I made it back to dock (afraid to kill power on the open water), shut it down, looked for damage (found none), restarted engine, and everything sounded fine and full power was restored. Any insight to what caused HP decrease and blank controls??? Thanks.
