Just got a 1988 18ft11in Capri with inboard/outboard

I just got a 1988 capri and the engine is a 4cyl dual carb that sits with the crankshaft vertical, trying to figure out if it is a OMC, Ford, Volvo Or ??
It is the bowrider, and above outdrive says Force
Any suggestions which package this could be, guessing OMC
 
Not familiar with this drive. Force has a pretty lousy reputation for quality. They were originally Chrysler outboards. Bayliner purchased them and used the engines in their boats for a number of years. There's plenty of parts for them on Ebay, so if yours is working, you're in luck. I wouldn't know what to do if yours is broken, except tell you to start shopping for another boat.

post a pic. my friend had a bayliner bowrider open bow with a force outboard.

It was a 85 hp burned gas like crazy and was a real piece if chit.
 
sounds like the L drive to me. not one of boatings better ideas.
I didn't know they made them before 1990 though
