What do the 3 wires coming out of my control box go to?

I have a 1989 DT30c with a NA12S control box. It has 3 wires coming out of the control box, one black with 2 leads and a yellow one and a sort of tan one. What could i hook to those? Thanks!

Black/ground, ground for tach?
yellow=tack signal?
grey/tan....what do you mean start motor? It's not the power to the tach? It puts out 12v when the key is on...
