2006 f-150 starting

i have been lurking here for two years, first time posting. Never had enough knoweledge to voice my opinon . 2 year with boat.It is a 2006 f-150 four stroke, ,,,, my problem only happened twice.,,,,, when coming in to dock and shutting off engine , i go get truck, come back and start boat , it seems it will crank over one turn then be a half second hesitation, then crank and start no problem.only happened twice, if i sit there and start and turn off it will not do the hesitation.it is something that gets my attention. not sure what i might want to check, any help would be great , thanks for your time

nothing to worrier about, have seen it many times on these bigger 4 stroke engine... Yam has no answer to this

First be sure you have no wing nuts on your batt terminals. Nice clean terminals with tight nylok nuts. How old is your batt, more than 5 years and funny things happen. Is the batt mca/cca adequate. We like a 1000 cca cranking battery. After that make sure all batt switch and cable connections under the cowl are tight and clean. Problem may go away.
