I need to replace the circulating pump on my engine, I plan to do it while the boat is in the water, anyone see any problem?

Changing the circ pump on the front of the engine is not a problem while the boat is in the water.

Closed Cooling System.... or Open System?
If closed, you can use the automotive short body version, and save a few dollars.... the circ pump will not know that it's been installed on a marine engine.
However, if "open", you'll want the Marine version.

Thank you very much for the quick response, I didn't think it would be a problem, being above the water line and no pressure.
Thanks - Good Forum

For future refference, best to post in the Merc forum. Not all the Merc guys frequent the other engine forums. Although there is a Volvo guy that does!! LOL
