1996 johson 225hp outboard no spark

hi all ,have a 225 hp johnson ,,replaced the power unit and 6 new coils ,now no spark and not starting ,turns over well but no ignition ,,,have checked for broken or frayed wires in power box ,all good ,,??? any ideas
 
Look under the flywheel and make sure the magnets are still glued in and spaced evenly. IF ok, disconnect the main engine harness and jump the starter solenoid. Make sure the muffs are hooked up and the water is on. If the engine starts, the problems are at the helm, plug the harness back in to kill the engine.
 
ok will try that today ,,will also charge the batteries as they have been exhausted trying to crank it over ,,,thanks again
 
You should post this on the Johnson/Evinrude forum on this site. Howerver, a large number of times when there is absolutely no spark, the kill switch wiring is bad.
