yamaha 704 remote

Is there a way to adjust the throttle frictiion? My remote will not maintain engine rpm unless I keep my hand on the throttle. When the remote was new I did not have this problem.
 
yes, check the front side of the 704 remote control, their is a screw. just turn that screw with a screw driver and tight it as much you want.
