changing starter solenoid

So I picked up a new starter solenoid, (sierra 18-5816D) (picture here http://www.marineengine.com/parts/s...ngine.com/parts/sierra_marine/sierra00281.htm) which has a different configuration than the one I'm pulling off. I'm asumming that, if I'm looking at the solenoid with the two smaller brass posts closest to me, battery connects to the closer Copper post, between the two brass posts and the other copper post, the starter connects to the far copper post, my black ground attaches to the brass post on right, and the the yellow lead attaches to the brass post on left. Does this sound right?

You're making it far too complicated! A hot lead to energize the starter goes to one of those smaller terminals--it doesn't matter which--and the other goes to ground. The larger terminals are similar; the battery connects to one side, the starter to the other. It doesn't matter which side UNLESS the solenoid is marked otherwise.
