I need help. My 1998 Yamaha 25hp fourstroke, was hard to start but I got it running nice. Decided to take it for a ride just cruising slowly, it was running fine then all of a sudden out on the lake when I cranked it up to full throttle it died. It turns over fine, I've got spark, fresh gas but it dies just after starting. Gas is fresh. I've sprayed starting fluid in to the carb and it wants to start, then dies. I'm more of a novice with outboards so pls be patient with me. Can anyone tell me what steps I should take next to fgix it?
