Hi
I have an old mercury bought as a 4 HP but I think it may be a 4.5HP Serial N09305277 Made in Belgium. Year and confirmation of model please. Also need a part which is obsolete 42666a3 I think - the plastic lever component Any ideas?

This engine looks like it will be a 1980/81

This (4,5 H.P Serial number 9258281- 1980/1981) is in the link below about halfway down.

Cliff, For parts look for 4.5 (1 CYL.) 9258281 AND UP
 
Many thanks it's what I thought. What happens when parts are obsolete? it seems a shame to scrap a good motor for a lack of a bracket!
