Can anyone identify the year of this Evinrude 115 motor

Hi. Bought a boat 9 months ago here in Aus, and cannot identify the motor, tried usual places and code"introduces" re numbers on mounting brackets or welsh plug...not sure where that is but if its a black circular thing the size of 50c on top of powerhead on ports side, too scrathced and no numbers,. Anyway here are some pics so hope someone can help with id. I suspect the motor is not from the boat as controls re electric are identical to 69model but motor is not re the pics from the US Evinrude site I looked at. Anyway the whole deal was dodgy (nothing seller said was accurate to my later great cost rebuilding boat and trailer) so motor might be a "bitsa". If it is electronic gear change, can I adapt it to lever instead? (guess I should take it out bush and put it out of its and my misery but they took my guns away...lol ) Thanks
