mercury 9.8 yr?

Recently I picked up a mecury 9.8 but I have no idea what yr an what waterpump I need to order. Its serial number is 5640397 Im pretty sure it is a short shaft an has electric start.any help would be great.im completly new to outboards an will be atempting to change the water pump
 
Thanks cliff c. After looking through parts I noticed there are two different size water pumps and I couldn't find a kit just the impellar itself. I think more than likly its the larger inpellae shaft of the two but im not positive. I don't want to order the wrong one since im on a budget or I would pay someone to fix it.
