Yamaha 250 issue with engine acting like it needs fuel.

I am posting this for a friend who has a problem with a 2-5 year old Yama 250. When accelerating the engine dies like it isn't getting fuel. Runs fine at speed and eventually it accelerates normally. We have tried pumping the bulb but does not really seem to help. Sometimes you think it does but usually not. Idea appreciated.
 
ok, before fuel goes to high pressure pump, fuel goes through from a breather nipple, check that nipple. check that nipple maybe it`s blocked. clean it properly
then run.
