Learned a new trick today. FYI to my fellow service techs.

I had to remove the cylinder head from a 1990 200 hp Yamaha. Most head bolts are corrosion welded in place hence they will break. While I was out picking up parts and discussing this engine, an old guy came in and said "Use a welding rod and a truck battery with jumper cables on those corroded bolts. The welding rod will heat the bolts right down to the block and act like a fuse."

Got back to the shop and tried it. Worked like a charm.

I will try this on Monday, We always have bolts breakoff down here from the salt water corrosion....
Thanks man
