Hello i have a 1975 johnson an electric drive motor that runs great but will not go into forward and reverse my first step is i opened controls and found a part that moves back and forth when you shift forward or reverse has about 5 wires coming out has also the word( pollak)on top of part is this the part that signals the solenoids to engage which in turn would go into gear?this part is defective i am almost positive the spring action does not work.
