Sure will, at least for awhile. Car radio's are not well sealed (i.e. marinized), and will be subject to much more water and air intrusion, and therefore likely to deterioate much faster than normal. This is especially true in salt water environments. Your other problem will be setting up a proper antenna. Typical auto antenna will not last long at all.
