Impeller question

I have Suzuki 140 DF and the water outlet is weaker than normal, it feels like it has pressure at the outlet on the motor. I have ran fishing line in the outlet hole to check for obstructions their seems to be no obstructions. My question is when the impeller goes bad will their be a water stream at all?

On a new impeller the vanes will be straight.-------------------Impellers that have been in use take a " set " as in the vanes lose their flexability and remain bent.---------------The pump will not work as well in the displacement mode !!-------------At higher RPM they will still work.-------------------I am not sure why people do not want to install a new impeller every 2 / 3 years.-------From some 40 years of dealing with well built machines that are " destroyed " by lack of simple maintenance.
