Warm engine.In gear,at idle.On a trailer or tied to a dock.
Start the motor and turn it in till it starts to buck,then out till it just stops.Then out 1/2 turn.
A good starting point is:in untill it bottoms out(gently) then,out 1 and 1/8th turn.
