I am learning the in and outs of my DT85 Suzuki Motor. I have recently changed the water propeller in the foot or lower unit of my motor. Now when the lever handle is in neutrual, the motor seems to be somewhat in forward gear. How do you make the adjustments to the linkage to correct this??
 
You have to make sure both parts - control box handle and gearbox (where the prop is) are both in neutral when you re-assemble.
On my DT100 it's the little short shaft coming out of the gearbox which had a through pin and a split pin in it.
