Amazing cleaning results from three types of cleaners...

Nothing removes rust off fiberglass other then the special spray I buy at the marine store...

Same thing with the blackstreak remover and the black buildup on the sides of my hull...

Another amazing result is the clorox (softscrub) killing and removing the mold that can build up on my no-skid deck and sunbrella bimini.

Its a big waste of time and money if you use the wrong cleaner on the wrong target because they are almost totally ineffective that way.

So this is a chemistry question i guess... what are the active ingredients that make such a big difference?

1. rust
2. black streak
3. mold

Acids eat rust as contained in CLR (calcium rust lime) cleaner's and Clorox is Bleach which kills and eats mold. Many people use bathroom cleaner's such as tilex with the same results.
