Mariner 40ml help

Hi all,

I'm looking for some info on my outboard 40ml ot2991 i dont know the last two numbers as the sticker has a tear. I just cant understand all the other 40hp mariners i have seen weigh about 70kg and are around 700cc but mine is 93 kg and 967cc any info appreciated.
Its a 3 cyl 2 stroke.

anyone got any ideas on how to get 50 hp out of my engine as far as i can see the 40 and 50 are the exact same weight and all so i assume the exhaust is the same. any help appreciated. Joe
 
As far as I know it's down to the carbs,you would need to change them.But why would you want the expense? Your top end would increase by about 1-2mph,and your fuel consumption by about 15% or more.
