What is the max RPM for a Mariner (Mercury) 50hp inline 4, 1983/84 motor?

I have a Mariner 50hp 2 stroke, inline 4 with SN 6453200.
Wondering how I can find the max RPM for this engine?

I have read the magic number 5,500RPM a few places so it seems that this is a generic/standard number. But is the actual manufacturer specs different for this motor?

The factory brochure says 5000 to 5500.-----------------You can run it at whatever you think is best for you.
