Got a Merc 40hp/4-stroke (carburated) which seems to idle fine, but if the throttle is pushed down it stalls. If I nurse the throttle down it will run at higher RPMs. It will run fine at those RPMs. If I take the throttle back quickly it will stall as well, although I can throttle back down much faster than I can increase it, without stalling.
Makes no difference if its under load or not. Any suggestions on what to check.
