Question for justintime, 2009 225 hp \/max

I have an 09 model 225 Vmax Series 2. Was runnin a 25p t1 prop and could turn 6100 which I know is too much. Went to a 27p t1 because Yamaha don't make a 26p. Now I turn 5600 to 5700. My question is, what is the best rpm at WOT for this engine?

I don't run it wide open everywhere I go. Normally I keep it between 5000 and 5200 rpm's when I'm runnin a long ways except in a tournament when we are racing to a fishin hole several of us know about. I don't want to hurt my motor. Just checkin with you on the rpm range.

6150-6250 is when the RPM limiter kicks in

5600-5700 is lugging the motor

a minimum of 5850 is what you want with a 80-90% loaded boat (fuel, gear and people), that is trimmed out

Thanks, I'll try to find a Fury or a Tempest 26p to try. Hopefully I can find one to try before paying $600. I hear the Fury is really good on the mercs.
