Bought a new trim motor for my 1985 Mercury 150. Was a 3 wire motor removed from tilt and trim system. New motor is a 2 wire system, did not come with any wiring diagrams at all, having a hard time finding a wriing diagram to show how it showed by wired if using the 2 original up and down solinoids from the 3 wire system. If anyone has a diagram on how I should wire this in would be great and if no diagrams are available a discription will work also.

Thank you so much

buy a wiring harness with relays. Hook your blue wire to the "up" control line. Hook your green wire to the "down" relay control. There is no ground. Install a stainless steel continuity strap from one of the motor mounting screws to an anode bolt.

that's it.
Any new or used mercury/mariner/force/generic trim relay wiring harness will work. The relays are universal 12v bosch and the wiring is always the same regardless of brand. The Jap motors changed the relay housing so that you can't use $5 relays. It's not any more reliable. They just wanted to make sure you bought thier $75 relay. So stay away from a used japanese harness.
