427s whats the difference??

I have a pair of 427 intercepters 300 hp not in a chris craft ! And a pair of 427 s 300 hp that don't say intercepter in a chris craft both about the same years 1967 68 what's the difference is intercepter just a name? ?? And how many qts of oil do thay take somebody messed up my dip sticks and. The chris crafts have different pans? ? Thay have the oil cooler in the pan mine don't the oil coolers are separate units. ???
 
Ford built the long blocks. Interceptor did the marine conversion as did Chris-Craft. Both had their own ideas. Differenf manifolds, water routing, ETC
