I am thinking about buying the same type of boat built circa 1994 with two types of engines
firstly one powered by a single engined Perkins M135 hp diesel
secondly twin 78 hp volvo TAMD 22a diesels (which I understand is based on a perkins engine)
Can anybody help with
1. comparative fuel consumption data
2. thoughts about which choice would be best
3. any points which need to be watched for regarding maintenance costs etc.
The boat is a 34 foot motor cruiser which will be used mainly for non tidal river cruising in the UK.
