Mercury 2010 60 hp EFI fuel manegemnt

Hi all i have bought a mercury 60hp EFI 2010 model and i am new to EFI engine my previous out board was with carburettor and i use to let engine run out of fuel every time that i was going to leave it unused for long time so to prevent from fuel to gum in it now that this engine is with fuel injection do i have to do the same when i am going to leave it unused for long time or it will make any damage to it ? .thanks Jason

You have to be careful with these new fangled motors.---------------The fuel pump may be " lubricated " by the fuel it pumps, so letting it run without fuel could be bad.---------------------If you are going to to work / maintain it yourself you really should consult a qualified dealer or your manuals.--Sorry can not help more on this one.
