Mariner 15Hp serial # problem

Hi

Got a Mariner 15C (ML) Ser No code 684C Serial number 345 755. Can anyone tell me the year, plug type and plug gap? I have just spent nearly 2 hours searching the web but cannot find anything? Starting to panic as I have a fishing competition this saturday and wanted to check everthing over?

This is a Made in Japan Mariner? I get 1989 for that number,so it's going to be NGK's but of the top of my head I don't have a plug number or gap for you,sorry.
 
For 1989 15hp Mariner I get NGK B-7HS or Champion L82 plugs with 0.024 inch gap - from SELOC manual. A manual is a great investment.
