I am about to replace a stator and regulator modules on one of my 150hp outboards. I read somewhere that some brands of regulators are not to be used with "MAINTENANCE FREE" or "AGM" batteries. If this is true, why is that?
I currently have 2 Optimax Blue batteries on board now and wonder if it was an unwise choice.
