1975 -1977 45 HP Chrysler temperature sensor

I recently purchased a 1975-77 (Model 458 BA) 45 HP Chrysler outboard. It appears to have a heat sensor, but I don't know how to hook it up. Does it turn on a warning light when it overheats, or does it hook to a normal automotive type temperature gauge connected to the B+?
 
The sensor wire should be Orange.It should hook to a terminal block to the orange wire in the block.The sensor should send a signal to a buzzer in the shifter or under the dash.J

I also have a 45hp, believed to be late 70s. My buzzer has been cut off and i need to replace it. does anyone know what temperature should set it off? how whats the best way of checking this?
