I have a 90 HP Yamaha 4 stroke that used to run around 6000 rpm's, but now only turns around 4000 rpm's. The fuel filter and pick up have been checked, the plugs changed and the carberators cleaned, and the prop is in good condition.
I discovered a large gauge gound wire (left disconnected for several weeks) between the engine and battery, and I was wondering if this might have led to some possible coil damage. Looking for ideas. Thanks
