I have an 18 hp merc outboard with serial #7190293 can anyone tell me the manufacturing date?

likely an 85 model ----------Copper / brown trim ??

no it is all black with the 18 hp mercury logo and the shifter and throttle are on the tiller handle with the kill button on the end of the handle

OK then they marketed this machine as a 20 HP starting in 86.---------------Maybe some paint work / decal removal was done .---------------You never know what people do to them.

According to your serial number i am getting that to be a 1982 made in Canada.

Lilbuddy,

They have guides of serial ranges such as our online US. Guide but they also have a Canadian guide which I have here on my desk.

I checked the US guide and they do not show that serial # Do you have the site for the Canadian guide? Ialso checked to see if it had been repainted and it looks original .

I do not have a Canadian Guide avalible on the site, only in paper sorry.
