cracked gellcoat

I like others have more mechanical exp. than body, my gelcoat bottom is old(1980) and is full of those little stress cracks ,as I call them, I can see them , but can bairly feel them. like little spider cracks I've heard them called. should I just clean and wax ,or paint? boat is 100% trailered, don't want to do that yearly bottom paint . is there a one time paint?? don't know what all that ablative non-ablative , two part... that's all greek to me. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
To answer that questions some pics are needed.
In general, whatever the boat is made of, repair it with the same materials.
