So is this with the motor running or you checking it in the driveway and turning the the prop by hand??----You need to give those details !!!!---------------------Has the lower unit been off for waterpump repairs.

Both . Yes i replaced the water pump 2 months ago but have run over 50 hours with no problem . When on the water it feels like hub slipping so thats how i noticed the clicking sound . Thanks

In the driveway ( motor not running ) and in forward , the prop will click one way and not the other when turning prop by hand. It lock both ways in reverse.----------------If you suspect slipping hub , then mark the hub and the outer portion of the prop.------------Run the boat and see if marks moved.
