2004 Mercury 15 hp operating temperature

What is the correct operating temperature for a 2004 15 hp Mercury. I can hold my hand under the pee hole but it it were much hotter I would not be able to.
 
not having your serial number I could only guess at the serial number of your motor, but it looks like 120 Degrees is what your THERMOSTAT is rated at.
 
Question for coueytwo Where can I find the temp for my '95 Mag 3

Also, I powerwashed my motor sometime ago and blew off the serial number. Is there and other mark on the motor?? Thanks...BF
