Reason for smoking..

Hi all.

If you had a 3 cyl 2 stroke that wasn't firing in one cylinder at low speed, but then does when the throttle is opened, could this cylinder be the reason a motor ran smokey for a short period after that?

Yes, but if there had been no ignition in that cylinder for a couple of minutes, would there not be oil on the cylinder walls, piston, spark plug etc etc, that would then start burning when that cylinder did start firing when throttle is opened? (hence smoke)
