Hello first time boat owner hoping someone can give me some advice. I have a 40HP 2stroke. It starts fine and when you rev it in neutral everything sounds good however when I put it in gear and get to mid throttle the engine starts cutting in and out and the alarm goes off. When I lower the speed everything is fine. the oil tank is full, new impeller installed recently. Plugs are new but when I took them out they were gummed up a bit.
Any thoughts?
