Thanks. I'm running about 5100 and just wanted to be sure it was in the right range. I just bought the boat 3 weeks ago.

Might talk to some one at a prop shop. They might advise if some pitch can be taken out of the prop to get a few more revs into it. Read an article that said that o/b's build up less carbon at higher revs. There are two good ones in Houston.

Sundancer, you didn't say where you are. Keep in mind that as the water temp falls the RPMs will go up about two hundred more. I live in Louisiana and water temp here is in the 80's. If you're gonna run high rpms and with an older engine, I'd add Seafoam to the gas...BF

The various prop wizards indicate:

WOT-RPM range: 5000-5500

But you might want to check the owners manual or specs in the repair / service manual.
