Hi guys,
This has happened twice in the last 2 weeks.
The boat starts great with very little fuss, cruises fine and idles well (in "No Wake" area). When the boat is shut down for a while (yesterday it was about 2 hours to swim) and then started up, if the engine is put in reverse and then back in foward again, it will chug and stall. It will start again but will stall upon being put in gear. It will not start again. Yesterday my son had to get towed back to our dock. After a few hours, he tried again and it started right up.
I've changed the plugs, wires and fuel filters between both times it happened.
The motor is a '94 Mercury 135
Any ideas?
