I have a 1999 40 HP 4 stroke Mercury and at idle or trolling speeds, the alarm goes of. I run above trolling speeds or even WOT and it runs fast and great - no alarms. A few years ago, I had the dealer put a hotter thermostat in because the motor was so cold blooded and really have not trolled with it until recently. Could it be the thermostat? I could find nothing in my seloc manual with a slow speed alarm situation. Thanks for any help on this matter.
