"If it's left hand (standard) rotation, 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Right hand or "reverse" rotation, 1-2-7-5-6-3-4-8.

If this is a single 'reversed mount" engine, meaning the flywheel is forward, it's standard rotation but the reverse mount allows your prop to be right hand rotation.

Chris-Craft renumbered the cylinders due to the reverse mount so that the left front (actually rear on the block) cylinder is #1, odds on the left, evens on the right.
